Parents are encouraged to stay informed about current events and school-related information by reading the monthly PTO Newsletter. You can also catch up daily by joining our Facebook and Instagram.

On the PTO Facebook page, you will find links to the newest volunteer sign ups, receive early access to family event information, and participate in parent discussions. 

Meetings

General Meetings are open to the public and will be held on the following dates @ Symmes Elementary Cafeteria:

Thursday October 10th @ 6:00 pm

Thursday February 6th @ 9:30 am

Thursday April 10th @ 6:00 pm

Please double-check the monthly newsletter for more information or changes.

Most evening meetings will provide child care in the school gymnasium when available.  Parents are welcome to bring younger siblings to meetings if this makes it more possible to attend. 

Other Important Dates

The Symmes PTO is an active volunteer group that funds and organizes over 50 different programs, events, and services that make our school unique. PTO membership is encouraged for everyone who works at or sends a child to the school.

Families can participate by volunteering time, donating funds (or purchasing from fundraisers), and attending PTO meetings.

We encourage parents to join and find opportunities to support your child's teacher, support staff, and be involved at the school.  Together, let's lead by example and show your child what it means to be service-minded and give back to their local community.  

To stay informed about what’s happening, parents are encouraged to begin by attending PTO meetings, coming to PTO functions, and enjoying our annual family events.  

You will find PTO information in the weekly Symmes Elementary School Newsletter, our NEW monthly PTO Newsletter, teacher emails, and special flyers sent home throughout the school year.

We are all in this together; let's make this year GREAT!

Membership

We ask that families complete an annual membership form.

The PTO membership fee requirement has been waived.  We are asking families to donate directly to the PTO if they are able, but there are no financial requirements to be an active part of the PTO.  In lieu of donating funds, please access our Volunteer link and donate your time instead.  Both options are extremely valuable to the success of our group.

Donations

In place of a membership fee, please consider making a donation via PayPal to support our students, teachers, and staff! 

Donating a little bit goes a long way if we all pull together.  If your schedule is busy and volunteering isn't an option at this time, please consider donating.  Your generosity will  benefit our teachers during fall and end of year classroom purchases.  Funds received throughout the school year are spent during that year to ensure your child's experience at Symmes Elementary is positively impacted.

Get Involved!

The Symmes PTO is looking for volunteers to assist with a variety of programs and committees.  Whether you have a few hours to give or are looking for a leadership position, the PTO wants to partner with you!  Together, the parents and families of Symmes Elementary have always pulled together to give the teachers, staff, students, and families robust programming and events.
