Symmes Players

Symmes Players, an after-school drama group, is a hallmark program of the PTO that makes Symmes Elementary unique. It offers 3rd- and 4th-grade students a chance to experience the performing arts firsthand. All students who try out get a part. Practices begin in January, with performances in late April or early May. Since the first show in 1998, "Once Upon a Shoe," recent musicals have included “Beauty and the Beast Jr.,”  "The Little Mermaid Jr.," "The Lion King Jr," and "Aladdin Jr." In 2022, Symmes Players celebrated its 25th anniversary with the musical "The Claw!"
